Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct/coordinate daily operations, including manufacturing, engineering, sales & marketing, IT, finance, personnel, purchasing, administration & legal
  • Direct or participate in strategic planning & preparation of short and long-term plans & budgets based on achieving corporate goals
  • Develop & implement operational plans and formulate policies to achieve goals and measures for quality, financial performance/profit margins and growth
  • Track, evaluate and report to the CEO on day to day operations, on a weekly basis
  • Establish comprehensive, measurable and achievable goals for performance and growth, measuring progress and adjusting processes accordingly
  • Work with management and staff members to execute new initiatives
  • Work with CEO to manage new product development, work with consultants, organize focus groups, stay abreast of emerging technology and product trends
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data and metrics for marketing, products development and other departments
  • Establish policies to promote a positive company culture, positive morale and a highly engaged staff.  Identify key performance motivators among employees to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and implement company-wide communication processes and procedures that ensure an open flow of information
  • Ensure that the responsibilities and duties of key management and personnel are clearly defined, agreed upon and properly implemented.  Structure effective training programs, as needed
  • Manage legal & insurance matters (Including: risk management, contracts and insurance claims)
  • Cultivate strong relationships with external partners, vendors and consultants, as well as internal department supervisors and colleagues

Position Requirements:

  • 5 – 7 years in a senior Operations leadership role with a engineered appliance product
  • Visionary – must be a forward-looking strategic thinker with a track record of roll-up-the-sleeves implementation
  • Fluent in technology – knowledge of integration, IOT, application and connectivity for high tech products
  • Proven leadership – a track record of growth and successful development of a team
  • Understanding of operational, administrative and market facing functions, i.e. Supply Chain, Logistics, HR, Sales & Marketing, Finance, IT
  • Strong strategic planning skills
  • Strong Financial management & budgeting skills
  • Ability to make sound business decisions based on data
  • Outstanding organizational abilities
  • Communication Skills – oral, written, reporting, presentation, group facilitation
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance or Marketing or related discipline
