Title: Specification Representative
Products: Solid surface material for institutional applications.
Reports To: Western Regional Manager
The Position: In a newly created role with a recognized brand in solid surface, this Specification Representative will drive increased and enhanced sales through project specifications with Housing Authorities, Colleges & Universities, Healthcare, Assisted Living and Military.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Discover, develop and generate sales opportunities.
- Establish and build relationships with Investors & Developers, Architects & Designers, Contractors, Fabricators and Facility Managers.
- Achieve a traceable, quantifiable number and value of specifications and support in converting specifications.
- Facilitate project sales from initial specification through project completion.
- Initiate actions & decisions to further explore project business potential, and to increase speed of execution and efficiency of processes.
- Maintain & update calling records and database of contacts in the channel.
- Cooperate closely and cross-functionally in regard to all project-related issues.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years professional project/specification sales experience with a proven track record of driving growth.
- Strong following of clients & contacts in the commercial specification/project community.
- Experience maintaining high level of customer presentations & relationships.
- Project management skills: planning, specification/blueprints/take-offs, order, installs and service.
- Self-Starter, results-driven, enthusiastic, passionate about brand & product.
- Highly developed technical aptitude.
- Knowledgeable of MSO, CRM tools.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree most preferred.
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus.
