The Company: Our client is a major plumbing manufacturer with global resources and the determination to be the market leader within its product category.

The Position: In a newly created leadership role in keeping with company reorganization, this P&L Business Leader will direct all sales, marketing and product development efforts for the retail/big box segment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate development and ensure execution of strategies, sales objectives, and promotional programs.
  • Review market analysis to determine appropriate customers and their needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and develop sales campaigns.
  • Oversee and be responsible for the development and research activities involving building on company strengths, identifying potential new markets and business opportunities, increasing share of market, and obtaining a competitive position in the industry and product channel.
  • Build, develop, and manage a sales and product development team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives to enhance market share growth in the retail sales channel.
  • Ensure that the product and the marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
  • Responsible for budget preparation and expense control in relationship to budget.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of hands on, direct contact, product related experience in the retail sales channel especially with Lowe's and Home Depot.
  • Decorative plumbing sales, marketing and product development experience.
  • Strategic initiative experience.
  • Leadership and management experience within a major building products organization with national and/or international scope.
  • Must have strong presentation skills, adept business knowledge, and organizational abilities to bridge customer business requirements to product, market trends, indices, and capabilities.

Education:
  • 4-Year College Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a related business field is a minimum requirement. Advanced degree a plus.
